Gazer surround view system consists of four video cameras mounted in the front, in the back, and on the sides of the vehicle as well as a special processing unit that merges the video feed from all four cameras into a single panoramic image. Everything that happens around the car is displayed on the monitor in real time and in "plan view" without any blind spots.
360° system offers full control of the situation around the car as well as obstacles in "blind" areas thereby significantly increasing safety during reverse driving, parking in a confined space, turning, and other maneuvers. Video feed from each of the four cameras is recorded on a micro SD card or a USB drive as a separate channel in a loop mode, which allows using the system as a car DVR. For CCTV recording in a parked car, the system goes into standby mode once the engine is turned off and starts recording 2-minute long video clips when the shock sensor (G-sensor) is tripped. After that, it returns to standby mode again.
The screen is divided into 2 sections: 1/3 of the screen is allocated for the panoramic "plan view" image, while the remaining 2/3 show the video feed from one of the four cameras depending on the vehicle's current driving direction. It means that when performing various maneuvers – be it parking, driving in a confined space, or backing up – you will always be able to analyze the situation around the car as well as from each individual camera in the priority area.
Besides the main operating mode, the system can be used as a 4-channel car DVR. In this case, each camera records a separate video channel, while the video recording process runs without interruptions due to the loop overwriting function. All recorded video clips are safely stored on a micro SD card.
After the engine is off, the system stops recording and shuts down. Once the impact sensor (G-sensor) is tripped, the system turns on automatically, records a 2-minute video clip, and then shuts down again. The recorded file is automatically protected from deletion during loop overwriting – one can only delete it manually.
In accordance with IP67 standard, Gazer cameras have compact ultra-tight bodies that are completely dust and waterproof. Coupled with a wide temperature range, it ensures the video camera's stable operation in the most extreme conditions: dirt, dust, and countless high-pressure washings. To ensure high quality and informative video feed in any time of the day, including in complete darkness, all cameras employ a highly sensitive HD 1/3’’ (720х480) sensor and stream video in 580 TVL resolution. An ultra-wide 180° viewing angle allows merging the video feed from all cameras into a single panoramic image thus offering a complete 360° view of the situation around the vehicle.
There is one universal model in the lineup compatible with any vehicle as well as stock video systems installed in the majority of modern cars. Standard surround view systems include: front and rear view cameras mountable in the original mounting seats inside the vehicle; side view cameras built into side mirrors (identical to original versions and mountable instead of OEM parts). Surround view systems can be compatible with the original monitors supplied by car manufacturers (Range Rover, Mercedes, Jaguar, VW, Audi, etc.) and support Plug&Play/Pin-to-Pin connection without damaging the car's electric wiring.
Gazer surround view systems feature a three-axis accelerometer (G-sensor) that traces any changes in the car's driving pattern: sudden acceleration, braking, or impacts. Video clips recorded when the G-sensor is tripped are automatically protected from deletion caused by loop overwriting. Therefore, the driver can be sure that all the most important video files will be safely stored on the memory card.
Gazer surround view systems come with everything required to connect the device and start using it. The standard configuration includes 4 universal video cameras, a video processing and control unit, a set of connection cables, a proprietary Gazer 16 Gb (Class 10) micro SD memory card, a remote control, and an IR receiver.
