Gazer announces a new Full HD car DVR based on Sony Exmor sensor
Gazer has announced the release of Gazer F140 – a new Full HD car DVR based on Sony Exmor sensor. The device sports impressive software and hardware specifications delivering unprecedented image quality.
Gazer F140 uses top-notch six-component optics based on glass lenses and an advanced 1/2.8” Sony Exmor sensor. The device also features a 140°wide-angle lens with f=2.8 mm focal distance and F2.0 aperture as well as the WDR function.
Thanks to F2.0 aperture, the DVR captures more light significantly improving the image quality in lowlight conditions. This enables the DVR to deliver an informative and crisp image in twilight and at night. The WDR function compensates the overexposed or underexposed areas in the frame. This technology helps produce a well-balanced image during daytime when the weather is sunny and at night when the image quality may suffer from glare produced by oncoming headlights. Such specifications coupled with the cutting-edge Sony Exmor sensor, which is widely used in modern professional video surveillance systems, allows recording immaculate, highly detailed videos with excellent color reproduction at any time of the day or night.
Social media fans will appreciate the popular Time-lapse recording function. Once this mode is activated, the DVR starts recording frames with a longer interval. The resulting video file, however, runs at a regular frame rate of 30 fps. Time-lapse recording will become a good reason to experiment and impress your friends with an unconventional video diary of your trip.
The device has a compact stylish body featuring a convenient built-in 2.7" display and a rotating mount with a quick release mechanism. Gazer F140 stands out among competition due to its advanced mounting system that allows supplying power directly through the bracket. It means that when you mount or unmount the DVR there is no need to plug and unplug the power supply.
G sensor and “emergency” button on the DVR body protect the most important video files from deletion. The device also has an automatic motion-activated recording function for surveillance video recording in a parked car. Similar to all other Gazer car DVRs, the new model operates in an unattended mode, comes with a proprietary Gazer 16 GB microSDHC memory card and an international certificate of conformity.
