Gazer’s TOP 5 innovations unveiled at Hong Kong international exhibition
Gazer presented TOP 5 of its latest car electronics products at HKTDC Electronics Fair 2017 (Spring Edition) held in Hong Kong on April 13-16, 2017.
As part of the Fair, Gazer unveiled a new lineup of multimedia interfaces featuring CarPlay and Android Auto functions. The new devices offer full integration of the user’s smartphone with the car enabling access to all the essential driver functions on the car dashboard display, including routes and traffic monitoring, incoming and outgoing calls, messaging, and audio streaming. One can use all these functions and still be focused on the road.
Developed specifically for drivers, CarPlay and Android Auto technologies can be easily controlled via voice. The apps themselves are completely adapted for in-car use allowing the driver to use them without losing control of the road.
A unique 3D surround view system delivering a distortion-free seamless panoramic image became the second important Gazer product presented to a wide audience. Gazer’s intelligent system enables the driver to monitor the situation around the vehicle in 3D “top-down view” without any blind spots and from any angle.
A Gazer surround view system consists of four ultra-wide angle cameras mounted on the front/rear side of the car and on lower parts of side mirrors. It also has a special processing unit that converts the feed from all four cameras into a single seamless panoramic image placing the car icon in the center. Cutting-edge data processing algorithms help generate a panoramic 3D image free of any distortions. The driver can also look at his/her car from any angle by rotating the image with turn signal buttons or with a remote control.
Latest generation DVR with built-in 3G and remote video transmission and video archive access became yet another novelty warmly welcomed by Gazer fans at HKTCD 2017 exhibition. The new model sports a Wi-Fi module, which allows pairing the device with a smartphone and using a special app to view recorded videos, adjust settings, and instantly share the best recordings with friends across social networks.
Gazer also presented a new lineup of multimedia systems supporting over 500 car models including those with big (9-11") landscape style screens and ultra-big (11-15") portrait style screens. World's most popular Android OS, powerful hardware, cutting-edge wireless technologies, and unlimited entertainment capabilities – these are only a few of many advantages that the new lineup of Gazer multimedia systems can offer.
Powerful hardware and a rich feature set of the new multimedia systems deserve special mentioning. An octa-core processor with 2 Gb of RAM can handle even the most resource-intensive tasks. An 8-band audio equalizer with 8 presets for various music styles will please the ear of any music lover. Simultaneous connection of 4 devices via a USB hub, rear view camera cold start in under 2 seconds, DualZone function, and standby mode with less than 5W power consumption – all these exciting features will soon be available to buyers of Gazer products.
One more significant event during the exhibition was live demonstration of Gazer’s latest rear view mirrors with a built-in monitor and AirPlay/MirrorLink features for wireless connection and IPhone/Android screen mirroring. Designed for Gazer parking systems, these mirrors have two video inputs: one for connecting a rear view camera and the other – for a second video source, e.g. a DVR. The new AirPlay/MirrorLink feature expands the mirror’s functionality even further allowing to use it as, say, a navigator by mirroring the information from a smartphone to the built-in display.
